Overarching themes in Monica's work include the importance of designing spaces for physical activity and the urgent need for creating and maintaining infrastructure that improves youth mental and overall health.
Mónica serves as co-founder of KALM Living, an infrastructural health equity research, design and build firm and is a PhD student in Community Health and Health Policy at CUNY School of Public Health.
She is also the leader of Sanctuario, an Afro-Latin inspired music and dance collective, and mama to two wonderous kiddos.

Amerigo is a professor of Health and Exercise Science at Long Island University Brooklyn and President of the Greater New York ACSM.
Amerigo Rossi's research agenda has included developing and implementing sustainable exercise programming,
including three twelve-week programs for cancer survivors in the Bronx and an ongoing fitness
program

program for people with Parkinson’s disease in Brooklyn.
In 2020, Dr. Rossi was
awarded the LIU Excellence in teaching award. He earned the American College of Sports Medicine Fellow status in 2019 and was elected President to the regional chapter in 2020.
